Provides access to electronic journal titles available from full-text databases and publishers.

A+ Education
A+ Education covers curriculum, educational research, information science, librarianship, management, policy administration, psychology, sociology, teaching and training and is produced by the Cunningham Library at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Full text articles: 2000- ; Index: 1978-

AGRICOLA
Database of citations from the U.S. National Agricultural Library (NAL). Covers all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines. Contains links to full-text documents online.

AGRIS
The international information system for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Covers all aspects of agriculture from participating countries. Limited full-text.

Australia/NZ Reference Centre
Australian and New Zealand specific magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books.

Biography in Context
Full-text biographical information on famous people, both historical and current.

Books and Authors
Includes over 100,000 titles, more than 60,000 plot summaries, and awards information from 562 awards. Fiction and non-fiction titles included.

CCH New Zealand Online Library
Full-text New Zealand legal resources published by CCH New Zealand. Includes taxation legislation, case law, and commentary, and full-text coverage of New Zealand Company Law and Practice and Business Law Guide.

CINAHL(Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature)
Covers English language journals in nursing and allied health disciplines,including physical, occupational and respiratory therapy, medical and laboratory technology, emergency services, medical records, medical assisting and health education.

Cochrane Library
Contains high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Includes systematic reviews, clinical trials, medical research studies, evidence-based health care, etc.

Contemporary Women's Issues
Multidisciplinary database covering published and unpublished material with a focus on the critical issues and events that influence women's lives worldwide.

Credo Reference
An online library of hundreds of reference books including encyclopaedias, dictionaries, thesauri, atlases, biographies, quotations and subject-specific titles. There are millions of entries, including thousands of images and audio pronunciation files. Contributing publishers include Routledge, SAGE, Cambridge University Press, Wiley, Elsevier and many others.  Additional features include Mind Map and Topic Pages, plus links to the EIT library catalogue and databases.

ebrary
A collection of over 134,000 full-text e-book titles covering a wide range of academic subjects.

EBSCOhost Research Databases
Provides access to combined information from four online databases;CINAHL, SPORTDiscus, MasterFile Premier and ANZ Reference Centre. Each database can be searched individually or simultaneously with the other EBSCOhost databases.

ERIC
The world's largest source of education information, with more than 1 million abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. Limited full-text.

eTV
The On Demand section lets you view and download recordings from TV and videos kept in the Library and Shop.The Live Channels feature lets you live stream TV channels. Use My eTV to store your favourite programmes, personal details and saved searches. Go to the eTV website, select Eastern Institute of Technology from the dropdown box and register to create your own login and password.

GALE databases

General OneFile
Full-text news and periodical content on a wide range of topics from general interest magazines, academic journals, business and technology publications, law journals, health care periodicals, newspapers and newswire services. Updated daily.

GreenFILE
Is a collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.

givME (Scholarship database)
It's a national database of scholarships, awards and grants for individuals looking for funding for study and professional development. This is available to all students and can be accessed on campus.

Health and Wellness Resource Center and Alternative Health Module
Information on: fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health and safety, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, herbal remedies, and alternative or complementary treatments.NB: Includes veterinary medicine.

Humanities & Social Sciences Collection
The Informit Humanities & Social Sciences Collection covers a range of subjects within an arts and social science context including education, history, media, political science and technology. Index New Zealand (INNZ)
Indexes and abstracts selected New Zealand serial publications, including newspapers and 300 journals about New Zealand and the South Pacific. Subjects include general interest material, social research, current affairs, the arts and humanities. Coverage is from 1987. No full-text.

Joanna Briggs Institute
Evidence-based practice content from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) covering a wide range of medical, nursing, and health science specialties. It includes Evidence Summaries, Evidence–Based Recommended Practices, Best Practice Information Sheets, Systematic Reviews, Consumer Information Sheets, Systematic Review Protocols, and Technical Reports.

Journal of the Polynesian Society
The Polynesian Society is a non-profit organization based at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Founded in 1892, the Society’s aim was the scholarly study of past and present New Zealand Māori and other Pacific Island peoples and cultures. The project has digitised the first 100 years of the Journal, from 1892-1991.

Māori Land Legislation Database
A summary of all New Zealand legislation since 1840 (including private and local Acts) which has affected Maori or Maori land. It also gives brief notes on the historical context and the impact of each Act cited, with references to other Government publications. A printed form of the database containing the most significant of the public acts is available in the Maori Studies Collection.

MasterFILE Complete
Multidisciplinary database providing full-text of nearly 2,000 general reference publications back to 1975. Includes full text reference books, biographies, primary source documents, and an image collection of photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.

Medianet (on-campus only)
Medianet allows you to watch a selection of digitised films and videos from Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision’s archival collections. These include feature films, home movies, short films, documentaries, local history items, music videos, children’s films and much more. Medianet can only be accessed on-campus. You can search the Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision online catalogue at www.ngataonga.org.nz/catalogues/

Montie Safety Care

New Zealand Council of Educational Research Journals
Full text online access to their journal publications: Assessment Matters, Curriculum Matters, Early Childhood Folio, Evaluation Matters, and SET.

New Zealand Journal of History
The New Zealand Journal of History is New Zealand's premier journal for academic writing on New Zealand history and includes contributions from New Zealand's most famous historians.
It has been published by the Department of History at the University of Auckland since 1967. This online version of the New Zealand Journal of History was developed by staff from Digital Services at The University of Auckland Library.

New Zealand Legislation
This website provides free public access to up-to-date versions of New Zealand Acts, Bills (proposed Acts), and Legislative Instruments.

The website also provides Supplementary Order Papers (SOPs, a type of proposed amendment to a Bill). All in-force legislation is provided, and all current Bills and Supplementary Order Papers, as well as earlier versions.

New Zealand National Union Catalogue - Te Puna
The New Zealand National Union Catalogue on Te Puna is maintained by the New Zealand National Library and provides access to over 10 million records for New Zealand and overseas resources (books, reports, theses, serials and conference proceedings). It lists which New Zealand libraries hold these resources.

Opposing Viewpoints in Context
Provides a complete one-stop source for information, both for and against, on social issues. Access to viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.

ProQuest Central is a large multidisciplinary research resource combining more than 28 databases and covering more than 20,000 periodicals plus many other scholarly resources. SciVerse Scopus is a very large multidisciplinary abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources, containing over 40 million records including over 6 million conference papers and 100% Medline coverage. It covers research in the scientific, technical, medical, social sciences, and arts and humanities fields and provides tools such as Author Identifier, Affiliation Identifier, Citation Tracker, and Journal Analyser to track and analyse research. NB: Full-text documents cannot currently be downloaded from Scopus. Click on the SFX button in Scopus to link to where the full article is located in another database.
