Me pehea matau e tautoko i a koe? | How can Disability and Wellbeing Support help you?

Support is available for all students with physical, intellectual, sensory, learning disabilities or who have mental health challenges. We can also support students who are recovering from a short term injury or illness where this impacts upon study. We work closely with the cultural support team and use Te Whare Tapa wha as our guiding model for holistic support and connectedness. Support is available at the Auckland campus. ?


  Support is based on your individual learning needs. These can include:

 

Information, advice and guidance on community   services and resources

 

 

Advice and guidance to you and tutorial staff on reasonable accommodations

 

Loan of ergonomic furniture and equipment

 

 

1-1 learning support

 

 

Support you to attend meetings with tutorial ?staff, community organisations and health professionals in relation to your study

 

Alternative test and exam arrangements

 

 

Assist you to identify grants and funding to meet your learning requirements

 

In class and study support

Information provided to us is confidential. However we may need to talk with staff and external services to best meet your needs and we encourage you to talk with your programme coordinators and tutors early in your study.

 

Aheitanga | Accessibility

Our campus is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible toilet on Level 1.

 

Tunga waka | Parking

There are no accessible parking for Auckland campus. If you need any specific parking, please talk to the student support advisor.
