Muddassar Khot - Chairperson

Hello all, my name is Muddassar Khot originally from Mumbai, India. I have
recently moved to this beautiful country to pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology as I believe in learning in every phase of my life as learning never ends.
I have held multiple leadership positions with the most recent one as IT Manager for Al Jazeera Academy, Qatar which was a large international Academy in Qatar for the past 15 years and IT Specialist simultaneously for past 5 years in GSSG holdings, Al Maha Academy, and Taallum group in Qatar.
I have a clear understanding of student needs and their way of thinking. I am experienced in coordinating and supporting onboarding students and staff including orientations. Furthermore, I would support EIT and students in building a strong and smooth bridge/link between EIT and students as well as support various initiatives. Moreover, I particularly enjoy partaking in voluntary services and have been involved in a range of public events and national sporting occasions such as 15th Asian Games, 3rd West Asian Games, Social Media Coordinator, and Class Representative during my Bachelor's studies atuniversity, etc.
I will bring many proven years and a strong track record of relevant experiences to EIT and a relentless drive for results and positive outcomes. I am excited about this opportunity of student representative and I look forward to hearing from you and offering you any necessary support. You can consider me your friend, brother, and a buddy. VIDIT KULSHRESTHA

Kia Ora, I'm Vidit Kulshrestha, a member of the Students Representative Committee. I've completed my bachelors in Biotechnology and am currently pursuing PGD Health Sciences from EIT.

The motto of my life always has been "En route to Greatness".
I have interned at the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and IIT New Delhi and am keenly interested in creating transgenic animals by using genetic engineering. I've volunteer work experience and contributed my efforts at IAYP India and WHO India. I've also been a NCC Cadet during school times and I was also a member of the student’s council during school and college times and have upheld a responsible position and know how to handle things well and help out everyone.

My roots belong to New Delhi, India and am very Indian at heart. I'm a huge FRIENDS fanatic and you can approach me any time to discuss a FRIENDS episode.
I'm also deeply interested in politics and dream of working at the World Health Organizations (WHO) one day, I'm at your service and you can approach me and consider me as your confidante whenever you face any issues in life.

sADAF KARBELKAR

Kia Ora Friends!
I am Sadaf Karbelkar, pursuing Master of Health Science at Eastern institute of technology (EIT), Auckland campus. I am a part of student’s representative team at EIT and being a part of this group, I am excited to liaise between you ‘the students’ and the ‘EIT team’.
I have completed my postgraduatein Pharmacy with specialization in Pharmacology, Therapeutics & Toxicology. I have over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry specifically in the Clinical Research and Healthcare domain. Prior to pursuing the current Health Science course in New Zealand, I have been associated with pharma organizations like Novartis Healthcare, Cipla Ltd., and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in India.
About me, I am quite approachable and also a good listener. In my leisure time, I like reading fiction novels, blogs, watch movies and pen-down my thoughts in some poetic write-ups.
I am extremely eager to work with you all and look forward to this exciting and collaborative journey to support you with the help of EIT panel members.

Viduni Raveesha Abeynayake

Kia Ora, I am Viduni, pursuing Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management in EIT Auckland. I am an international student from Sri Lanka. I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. I have 7 years of experience in the banking industry in Sri Lanka and I have short term experience as a visiting Lecturer in a Private Sector campus in Sri Lanka. I have obtained this career break to add an overseas exposure to my life along with developing my future career objectives. My ambition is to become a Banker in an international context from a career perspective and all I need is to become a productive human being with positive vibes.  I love to make new friends and to get to know about new cultures. In my free time, I like to travel and see new places and like to cook and try new recipes. I am very happy and thankful for being selected for volunteering as a Student Representative in EIT and represent all my friends. This responsibility will give me more opportunities to make new friends and to share knowledge within groups. I am looking forward to be a good friend to EITians. SMITA PURUSRAM

Hi, my name is Smita Purusram and I come from Mauritius. I am pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management at EIT to enhance my management abilities for better job opportunities. I hold a bachelor’s in business administration and a Diploma in Education.
Apart from working as a teacher for more than 10 years in Mauritius, I also possess international experience as an administrator from Qatar.

EIT staffs have been a great support in facilitating learning at EIT which is one of the reasons that encouraged me to volunteer for the role of student representative and work together with them. I am pleased to join the student representative team and share my knowledge as well as being a support to you in assisting you with your queries and guide you accordingly.

sUMAN GILL

Hi, My name is Suman Gill. I am from Hisar, India which is home to the largest Agricultural University in Asia.
I am a Masters student in Information Technology.
I have worked for MNCs as a Frontend Developer for more than 5 years and have grown a lot during my professional stint with various skillsets like Javascript, Wordpress and IONIC.
I am passionate about photography and athletics which helped me throughout my career in maintaining focus and determination for various projects.
 I love the outdoors and like trekking, cycling and camping and hopefully can organize these for our student body.
I also believe in presenting one’s learning before large audiences as mastering stage fear is a skill known to few and hence I’d be keen on taking forward the Speechmasters – EIT’s very own version of Toastmasters!
I’m approachable, friendly and believe in genuine relationships that bring out the best in both parties. JAIMIN HASMUKH PATEL

 

Kia Ora, I’m Jaimin Patel, one of the student representatives. I’m basically from New Delhi but my bought up was in Surat.
I have completed my Bachelors of computer applications and I’m currently pursuing post graduate diploma in Information Technology. I have worked on a project with the Bhartiya janta party as an IT team manager and as a sports analyst for 2 years.
I’m much into sports and so my favourite sport is cricket. Moreover I have many achievements in cricket at different levels playing for different teams as I have represented India U-19 and my state teams. I have even been through manydifferent net sessions among the senior cricket team players from other countries too. I love to spend my time with my family and friends as well as having different kinds of food when I’m into free time. I rely on moto ‘Part of being a person is about helping others'. I’ll be available for you guys, so if you need any kind of assistance orsupport from me then you can just contact me without hesitation and I  promise  to help you out.
